New Registration Options and Soon to be Released Features

 January 23, 2015

As some of you may have already noticed, we recently made changes to your registration form options on our iHOUSE ELITE Pro accounts. Your clients now have the ability to opt-in or out of your email list, right up front.

Note that this will only affect any drip emails that get sent to clients on your behalf. HouseTrack listing notification emails (from saved searches) are NOT affected.

This is one of the necessary steps we’re making to bring our email campaign sending software up to industry standards. If we don’t do this, more and more of the email we send on your behalf will be blocked or marked as SPAM.

Sending email is a tricky business, which is why we’re currently working on a MailChimp integration. MailChimp (like ConstantContact and a few others) have perfected the art of the email campaign. Even better, they allow you to create a FREE account with generous sending limits. And they have a robust API so that other software like ours can integrate with it. As some of you may have already noticed, we have made changes to our registration options on our iHOUSE ELITE Pro accounts. Your clients now have the ability to opt into and out of drip emails . This is a necessary step to ensure deliverability of your drip emails to your clients in the future. Please be aware that this does not have any effect on listing or saved search emails, only drip emails. Customers will also have the ability to set when they can receive their own HouseTrack emails.

These changes were not only added to increase the deliverability of your emails to your clients, but also necessary to develop new tools we will be releasing in the coming months. We will be creating an integration with MailChimp to improve the way we create and deliver newsletters, listing flyers and an entirely new email drip system.

So to recap, Customers now have the option to opt in and out of drip emails but all saved searches and listing emails will be sent to clients. The reason why we are adding this option is to improve the overall deliverability of your emails to your clients. In addition to deliverability, we will be rolling out a new tool with MailChimp integration with new drip email tools, Listing Flyers and Newsletters.
