How to Collaborate with Industry pros and increase sales.

When it comes to sales, REFERRALS makes the world go round.

Don’t think for one second that there’s any advertisement that you could buy or a gimmick that you could come up with that will be more effective than a sincere referral.

Think about it.

People are creatures of habit, we tend to learn from observing each other.

We do what we see others around us doing it’s like an ingrained survival instinct or something.

If you don’t see very many cars in the parking lot outside of a restaurant and you’re not familiar with it do you go and “try it out”?

Chances are you’ll opt to look for another place that seems popular enough to actually have some customers.

With that said, nothing motivates people to refer you more than a successful collaboration here’s some tips on how to pull this off:

#1 – Landscapers

The most overlooked in the housing biz is the same group that spends the most time at the property.

Landscapers are a perfect referral source for you as they cut lawns in the same area that you sell houses.

It’s really easy to get referrals from a landscaper just send them some referrals for landscaping whenever you get new listings and before long they’ll return the favor.

 

#2 – Appraisers

Another effective technique is to workout a mutually beneficial arrangement with an appraiser.

This works best if you can negotiate a discount with an appraiser where they give your clients a “coupon” to save on their appraisal fee when they hire them.

In return you can offer a similar discount to their clients when the appraiser refers people you.

 

#3 – Mortgage Brokers

Since most homes are bought with home loans it’s just natural for real estate agents and mortgage brokers to collaborate.

The best way to do this is with mutual marketing events like a “first time home owner” workshop.

You and the Mortgage broker share the expense of the event and in the end you both share the leads and opportunities that the event brings.

You’ll sell more houses and they’ll write more loans.
