Cloud Migration

All of our web servers for Elite and IDXPro were moved to the Cloud over this last weekend during a planned maintenance downtime.

Benefits
There is a noticeable speed improvement in MLS searches and general website page load speed. Optimizing speed will continue to be a focus in upcoming development projects. Moving our servers to the cloud move gives us additional stability and scalability as we move forward.

Issues
The move was not without it’s hiccups. We did experience some delays with database synchronization. When editing your website, you may have noticed a delay between when you saved your changes (wrote them to the master database) and when you saw the results of those changes (read them from one of the slave databases). These issues have all been resolved and we’re sorry for any inconvenience this caused.

New Features

  • Map Changes
There are a number of improvements to the maps. Map markers now show the listing price, markers are now “clustered” on the map allowing for more of them to be drawn, you can now save listings directly from their map windows, and more. Read more about our elite website map changes.

  • New Time Zone Setting
There is now a time zone setting that you can edit in Admin Menu: Edit Account Information. This will use your time zone instead of the web server’s for LeadTracker client activity reports.

Bug Fixes

  • Template Fix: Nightcrawler: Horizontal Scrollbars
Removed horizontal scrollbars in edit mode caused by the banner widget.

  • Traffic Report – special characters
Referral URLs were being presented with special characters URL encoded.

  • Sitemap syntax
Google started to warn about a certain type of syntax which we were including in our sitemaps.

  • Lead Assignment
Recent code cleanup created an edge case where automated lead assignment would throw a 500 error. Also, leads captured from certain contact forms, were being auto-assigned twice.

  • CKEditor: Anchor bug
Couldn’t set a link to an anchor in the text.

  • Traffic Reports
Re-wrote traffic for access to cloud traffic database, also optimized traffic processing.

  • Fix “find similar” tool
Stricter listing validation inadvertently broke the find similar search tool.

  • Fix creating slideshow embed widgets
Recent changes broke the ability to add a slideshow embed widget.
