How To Market Your Real Estate Team Online

How To Market Your Real Estate Team Online

 May 15, 2017

You’ve assembled a real estate team to help build your business and grow your income. You’ve come to expect a lot from your team, but are you doing everything you can to help them be successful? Effectively market your team online to increase their chances of contributing to your team’s success.

Give Everyone a Place on the Website

How you make sure your team gets attention on the team website is up to you, but give them all a place on it somewhere. Don’t pretend you’re going it alone. Remember, having a team behind you is a major benefit for your sellers and buyers. Heavily promote this point and use it as a way to give your clients and customers confidence someone will always be available to help them.

Create a robust “About” section with entries for each person on the team. Include their pictures and individual contact information. Highlight their specialties. You want people who find you through your website first to know who to expect to work with – this is a great place to do that.

Include Your Team in Your Blog

Maybe you’ve hired a ghostwriter to take care of your blog. Maybe someone on the team is passionate about writing and is in charge of the blog. Whatever method you use to add content, make sure you use this space to highlight your team members from time to time.

Here are a few ideas:

  1. Set each team member up as a contributor or author on the blog. Publish a post under their name. If they don’t write it, make sure they agree with the content and know about it first.
  2. Publish success stories featuring happy clients and customers and the team member who worked with them.
  3. Introduce new team members on the blog. Highlight their background, what makes them interesting, and their specialty if they have one..

All of this content can be shared in newsletters and on social media. You’ll promote individual members of the team and remind clients and customers how much you can do for them, thanks to the team.

Go Social

Your team needs its own social media profiles. Make sure you follow Code of Ethics guidelines in setting up (see the rules on promotion and advertising). Once you’ve done that, this is a place to easily highlight what different team members are doing to help clients and customers. Your blog posts, great pictures, and other info that’s easily shared should be posted to your social media profiles as well. When you highlight a team member, tag or mention them so their followers will see it, too.

Most people on your team will have their own social media presence before they join you. Encourage them to keep and use what they’ve built, but make sure they’re promoting the team, too. They can share new blog posts – good evergreen information or special features. They may want to reblog, share, retweet, or regram some of the team’s really good social media posts, too. By combining your audiences, you’ll gain greater reach and grow your audience. A bigger audience creates more leads for everyone.

When your team knows you’re promoting them as well as the business, they’re more willing to spread the word, too. Give everyone a presence, highlight how they contribute, and celebrate their successes. By doing this, you’ll market your real estate team and the benefits of working with you all at the same time. Sharing the spotlight and showing your appreciation are positive ways to grow your business and your real estate team.
